About

The DestinatorsHello! We are Doug Shick and Sue Frechette. We are from Warren, VT, recently retired, and working on our second adolescence. At the moment, we are focusing on becoming better musicians and on traveling. Our plan is to ski in the winter, hit the road in our motorhome in the spring, travel through the summer and fall, lather, rinse, repeat…

As for the musical part, we are a guitarist/bass guitarist and a drummer, respectively, and we’re always looking for folks to play with, whether we’re at our stationary home in Vermont or our rolling home on the road.

As travelers we follow the wind, seeking fun adventures and experiences, great hiking, old and new friends, and of course opportunities to hear and play music. We love learning about the culture and feeling the vibe of the different places we visit.

  1. Great lifestyle, pics and blog. I’ve only read about Vancouver Island so far. Brings back some of my fondest travel memories, was out there about 25 years ago. Hope to get back there sooner than later. Other great places out there are the northern gulf islands, I’ve only been to Hornsby. I hope to take some travel tips from your blog, thanks for sharing. By the way found you through Drumeo.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Debbie! Glad you liked it. There are so many beautiful places to visit. We missed Hornsby Island while in western BC. What a great excuse to visit again! Enjoy your travels!

  2. Hey! I’m a fellow Musora student. I have a travel blog, too (although it’s been dormant for a while). I worked in the travel industry for 35 years. Now retired, and I’m originally from New England, too! Also working on my second adolescence with my new husband of three years!!! Funny coincidences!? I think not. There are none (coincidences). Anyway, just thought I’d pop in and say hello.

    1. Hi Kathy! Thanks for popping in! I noticed in Musora that your husband is also a musician, you’re getting ready to gig as a duo, and you also have a suitcase drum kit. More coincidences! Adolescense is much more fun the second time around. Do you agree? Where are you now? We’re always out and about looking for opportunities to jam.
