Our loyal readers may recall we jammed with Iris last July while enroute to Toronto. It was so much fun, we had to do it again!
Me: Hi Iris! I think we might be in Toronto in September.
Iris: Wonderful! Stop by!
And that’s all it took.
This time, we arranged to meet at Iris’ place. Following an absolutely delightful lunch with her family, we moved downstairs into her home studio and jammed all afternoon.
It was interesting to observe how we all behaved and played this time, compared to a year ago. Last time we dove right in and tried to see how many songs we could play. This year, without discussing it in advance, we played fewer songs and took time to stop, re-arrange, make corrections, and play again. Hmmm… Sounds like we’re maturing as musicians!
Here’s a sampling from our jam session:
Thanks so much Iris for the awesome hospitality! Until next time….
